My Story

Bernice's Cajun Kitchen was born out of a little girl's heart filled with joy as she watched her mother and grandmothers prepare food for their family and friends as an expression of love. My grandmother Bernice was known for creating the most delicious dishes in her humble kitchen in historic Algiers, which is located on the West Bank of New Orleans. Her recipes traveled from my grandmother's heart and kitchen to my mother's, in the southern sector of Dallas, Oak Cliff. 

 

People would eagerly visit our home to fill their bowls with shrimp creole and gumbo, while I watched and learned. Now, I am excited to share a taste of New Orleans and fine southern cooking with you. Our delectable dishes will tantalize your taste buds and deliver an exquisite experience of authentic Cajun and Creole cuisine. Welcome to Bernice's Cajun Kitchen!
